Groningen
Groningen is a city in the north of the Netherlands and the provincial capital of the province of the same name. It is the primary base of Jan_Wilmake, who has lived in and around the city intermittently since 2012 and settled there permanently from approximately 2023.

University of Groningen (RUG)
The Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (RUG), founded in 1614, is one of the Netherlands' oldest universities. Wilmake completed his Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence there between approximately 2012 and 2016. In 2025, he returned in a supervisory capacity, overseeing four software engineering students working on uithub-related tooling.
