
Kristian Freeman is an American software engineer and developer advocate based in Austin (San Marcos), Texas. He works as Engineering Manager on Cloudflare's Developer Relations team, focused on developer tooling, AI products, and the Cloudflare Workers ecosystem. He is active on X as @kristianf_ and on GitHub as kristianfreeman.[1]
Freeman started his career writing Ruby and Ruby on Rails applications before moving to JavaScript and React development. He has been an independent educator, running a blog, a YouTube channel (7.dev), and the Byteconf conference series before joining Cloudflare.[2]

Jan was planning a meeting with Kristian Freeman on a Monday in July 2025 to pitch a project: building a standalone, hugely successful MCP client powered by Cloudflare products. Jan's notes describe this as his "pitch with Kristian Freeman": a Cloudflare-backed MCP/agent client comparable to what Vercel did by endorsing Zaid Mukhtar with scira.ai — a product that would showcase Cloudflare's stack and funnel developers to the platform.[3]
